"Still the best"
I've stayed at the Olde Tavern many times
over the past four years. In forty-plus years of travel, using overnight
accommodations in the U.S. and twenty other countries, I've never encountered
an innkeeper more single-mindedly committed to the comfort and convenience of
his guests than Brandon. The rates are amazingly good, especially off-season,
and I don't see how any reasonable person could fail to like the place. If you
want top-shelf luxury (and commensurate prices), stay somewhere else. If you
want comfort. value, and service, try the Olde Tavern.

"I'm going back every summer!"
The Olde Tavern Motel was the
perfect place for my girlfriend and I to stay. First of all, location,
location, location!!! The location was perfect. Everything is so close! Great
restaurants (Lobster!!), bagel shops, coffee shops, pizza places, Cape Cod
League Baseball games, the market... everything you need. And it's all within
walking distance. The best part is that the motel is locally and family owned,
so they always send you to the best places. It's almost like having a concierge
at a high class hotel. And if you don't feel like fighting the crowd at the
beach, they have a great pool. Now about the motel: clean as can be, beautiful
flowers, and friendly service. It's the perfect Cape Cod experience without
having to spend all you money on a tiny little cottage. Highly recommend the
Olde Tavern!!

"Restful"
Let's take a drive to the Olde Tavern Inn - let's
get away from it all. The summer wind came rolling in from across the sea......
walk with me. If you need to unwind from the pressures of the daily grind, this
is the place. The charming innkeeper and engaging housekeeper make you feel
right at home. A beach lover's paradise - beautiful Nauset Beach and Skaket
Beach are nearby. There are plenty of comfortable taverns and restaurants as
well. "Boston B & l", MA
"Wonderful hospitality - great location"
My husband and I
stayed here during the off season - a great time to visit the cape - and we
thought it was wonderful. The rooms are absolutely spotless, the beds very
comfortable, and the location perfect. The owner, Brandon, went out of his way
to make us feel welcome. He is an exceptional innkeeper ! Willing to go out of
his way to help with anything needed, and knows the Cape so well that he is a
great source of info on places to go and things to do. We feel so comfortable
with the Old Tavern that we have already booked a week in the summer for our
two (twenty-something) daughters - location and especially safety were most
important to us - and the fact that they will be staying at a place where the
owners care! Highly recommended!

"Perfect"
I'm a business man who frequently travels solo to
Cape Cod for work and found the Old Tavern to be a perfect fit for me. Seems
like a great place for families as well, as I saw many happy parents and kids
lounging by the pool. The staff is attentive but also keep a low profile and
allow you to enjoy the peace and quiet of Cape Cod. The owner was always in the
lobby when I needed to ask a question and referred me to some great
restaurants, bars and tourist sights when I had some downtime. The wifi allowed
me to work online and check e-mail when I needed to. overall, it was a great
stay and I would recommend this motel/inn to anyone traveling to cape cod for a
vacation or for business. it's in a great central location and the prices are
reasonable. By the way, check out the Double Dragon less than a mile away for
some great Chinese food.

"Great experiences and love the hospitality everytime I go!"
I
love when I get away to the Cape and spend some time relaxing and enjoying all
it has to offer. When I stay at the Olde Tavern, it's like staying with good
friends. Even though it is off season the family at the Tavern take care of
everything we need. This place is affordably priced, but has all the feel and
comfort of a 5 Star establishment. It is a short walk to the Center of Town,
local shops, restaurants, and anything else you need. The Father and son tandem
that run this establishment are top notch and I give my full endorsement. In my
opinion there is no better place to stay when I visit the Cape!

"Made my wedding!"
I wanted to tell the valued customers on
trip advisor about my wonderful experience when staying at The Olde Tavern Inn
and Motel. Our entire wedding party stayed for the weekend as well as guests
from out of town. The staff was so helpful and so nice. I could not have asked
for anything more. I was so stressed about everything else but the staff and
Brandon made the weekend sail smoothly with no issues with lodging and
accommodating my guests. It is a modest inn at a great value. My guests all
raved about the service and location. My new husband and I plan to spend every
anniversary.

"Amazing service"
We had a most hilarious and enjoyable
experience at the Olde Tavern. Stumbling upon it on Valentine's Day, we could
not have found a better deal and had better service from Brandon, the owner. He
was so committed to us having an enjoyable visit that it almost seemed that he
would have done anything at anytime for us! The dinner he recommended was
excellent, and the breakfast the next day at another recommended restaurant
couldn't have been better. We had a great time, and would definitely go back
when the weather is warmer. Overall an excellent deal for a one night
stay!

"Relaxing and very accommodating"
My husband & I went to
the Olde Tavern Motel for the first time in April 08. We were so pleased by the
professional & friendly staff and how accommodating they are. Brandon was
so friendly when we arrived, walked us to our room. Within 5 minutes, we felt
like we've known Brandon for years. We liked the way the motel is set back off
the street, the clean & comfortable rooms, also the decks added a nice
touch. In season there were fresh homemade muffins in the morning, that was a
nice added touch. We enjoyed being at the Olde Tavern Motel so much that we
went back in Oct. with our 5 yr. old Granddaughter. We've made new friends and
will always go back to the Olde Tavern Motel.

We arrived in Orleans quite tired after a long drive from Canada only to
be met with Brandon who was cheery and really went out of his way to be
helpful. We weren't sure how long we were going to stay but it turned out we
stayed twice as long as planned due to not only because we love the place but
for the most part, due to how pleased were because we felt that the owner
really had his heart in attending to the needs of others - a sincere guy
through and through. I have traveled extensively all over the world and stayed
at many chain hotels for the sheer convenience of being close to the
interstates but much prefer the quaint setting of an inn like this one. It
reminded me of the same kind of hospitality that you get in Austria at
mountainside inns where the people are so kind and it sticks with you. We most
certainly will be back again! Furthermore, I have mentioned this place to my
own family as very recommended.

If you're looking for a place that's ideally located, spotlessly clean,
and down-home comfortable then the Olde Tavern is for you. Ideally located on
the elbow of Cape Cod, this family-run motel has been in business for over 25
years and has a loyal repeat customer base. It's not hard to see why. The
entire staff is unwaveringly friendly and helpful, and obviously pride
themselves on attention to detail. The rooms are a good size and have all the
amenities you need (with the possible exception of a microwave oven, although
there is one available in the office). The large outdoor pool sparkles and the
grounds are very well kept. I travel for a living and have stayed in hundred of
hotels. None have ever made me feel as welcome as the Olde Tavern. My wife and
I will certainly be back, and we urge you to stay here on your next visit to
the Cape. Come be part of the family!

The Old Tavern Motel wins, hands down, for outstanding customer service.
There is nothing you can ask that they won't try to fulfill. Friendly, clean,
perfectly located between bayside and ocean side beaches. I've been coming to
the Cape for years, and the service here is just as good as it is at the Ritz
Carlton.

Just got back from a 4 night stay in Orleans, MA This hotel has a
perfect setting being set back far from the road - you do not see that often.
Furnishings are older, but everything is CLEAN and LIKE NEW (room 118) no
stains or show of wear on anything... pool is nice and relaxing in back of
hotel. Room also had cozy deck and nice grounds. Would stay here again.
Friendly owner and workers. Perfect for a getaway with my girlfriend. I would
recommend this hotel and we are 19 and 22. Great muffins and coffee are
available each morning at 8:30.

I know how reviews affect travel plans when you are going to an unknown
motel and just want to add my two cents if you are considering the Old Tavern
Motel. We stayed a week and it was a most comfortable stay! Without a doubt,
the proprietors of this motel are hospitable and nice, Brandon is concerned
with the quality of your stay. The rooms are modest, and clean and very
accessible if you have any handicap needs, such as short distance walking. The
location is excellent with 2 beach choices of either tidal pools or surf and
there are many selections for dining close by. The staff is friendly and
helpful with directions and ideas. And even though it's set off from a main
road through Orleans, it felt safe and the grounds are inviting with a
welcoming landscape of flowering shrubs and groomed lawn. I would recommend
this motel for a good deal with modest rates and rooms!

"Had a wonderful trip to the Cape and the Olde Tavern. Can't wait to
return. We wanted to let you know that Kevin's directions to the Bourne Bridge
and Rte 25 were perfect. It was stress-free and his advice puts AAA to shame.
Can't believe it was that easy. So, thank you Kevin! Big hello to Brandon, Tony
and everyone on the great staff too. And Hugs for the Babe. Have a great
summer!"
Sincerely, Marvin and Fern
Dear Staff and owners,
"Thank you for the wonderful stay at the Olde
Tavern Inn. You are to be commended for the friendliness and helpfulness for
your staff. The pool is just beautiful .pristine bordering on too clean! (just
kidding). Amy was especially helpful in many ways. I have never stayed anywhere
else in my worldwide travels where the staff has been so welcoming. This has
been my campground while my friends stay down the road at Nickerson. The next
time I go "camping" with them I will definitely stay here."
Sincerely,
Lyle
"Thank you for the beautiful, clean and relaxing room. You all do
excellent jobs!! Thank You!! We'll be back here if we're ever in the area. God
Bless!

Dear Friends,
"We thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home
with us. We truly enjoyed our recent visit. As you can see we always have a
good time. We have both been thru very hard days 5 years ago and seem to be
making up for it now. Carol, special favor! We both enjoyed your muffins each
morning, especially the cranberry variety. Do you share recipes? They were so
moist you must have a secret. I have been passing on our good fortune in having
the pleasure of meeting all of you. Tony, I must tell you I had called another
place before calling you. The man who answered was so curt and brief and
downright rude I wouldn't have stayed if the room was free. When you answered
(at 8am) I knew from your voice that a good time was in store for us (even on
the phone). Incidentally, we read about your place in the AAA book. What better
recommendations! Lastly, Liz, we finally found Denise Ann's Bakery and thanks
for the tip. The butterscotch cookies kept us company on our 7 hour trip back
to a very hot and humid Easton. God Bless and our kindest regards"
Yvonne and Norm
Dear Liz,
"While you're touring Me., Vt., and NH, I just want to
thank you for all of your help during our lovely stay in Orleans. The four of
us had a wonderful time and we'll be anxious to return next year! The rains are
due here tonight so we really "lucked out" with the good weather. Thanks
again".
Sincerely, Diane and Rich
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bader,
"Just a note to say thank you for your
generosity in accommodating us at your inn during our visit with the Westford
chorus. You and your staff were a pleasure and the coffee and muffins were
great! I really enjoyed myself for the short time we were able to spend there.
I've lived in MA all my life, but this was my first trip to the
Cape."
Thanks, Beverly Johansen
Dear friends,
"Thank you very very much for your card with its
thoughts and good wishes. It was a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy
situation. Just what happened to me is even now not fully clear, but we are
watching it closely and at least I am out of the hospital and maybe (?) I can
resume my self proclaimed position as scout for the Olde Tavern Inn. You were
all so very helpful and to remember me in my illness really brings the sunshine
in."
Again my thanks and happy memories, Curt
Dear Tony and Carol,
"Fred and I want to thank you so much for the
delightful time that we spent with you folks. The room was outstanding, the
pool just right, the location perfect, but what made it special was the way you
made us feel - as though we were really welcome. The effort you put into
finding the church for us is just an example of the extra human touch which
makes your place stand out."
Sincerely, Gretchen Kettenhofen
Dear Tony and Carol,
"Your return of the deposit for the weekend of
"Gloria" is most appreciated. I am looking forward to a visit later this year.
It's a pleasure to deal with such thoughtful people."
Sincerely, John

Dearest Elizabeth,
"Charlie and I want to thank you ever so much for
your thoughtfulness while we were at the Olde Tavern. You are so sweet. If
there were more people like you, this world would sure get along a lot better.
Meeting you and staying in Orleans was a highlight of our trip. We found the
Bittersweet and the Sea Lavender with no problems thanks to you, and had a lot
of fun picking it. We hope to be back next year, same time, same place. Hope to
see you and have some more friendly chats. I bought some fresh cranberries
across the street and when we got home made some muffins, oh so
good!"
Much love, Joan and Charlie Amato
Dear Maid,
"We like to thank you on how clean our room was. Even
though we spent a night it was a very comfortable overnight. The minute we
walked into our room it gave a warm, welcome, cozy feeling. You do a great job.
Here's a special tip...buy something special for yourself."
Thank You!
"Excellent in every respect. The owners went to great lengths to insure a good stay. Very clean and neat! The pool area was beautiful. A spirit of real hospitality and warmth was shown to us."
